Prudential Retirement, which has its insurance and annuity operations in Hartford, said it has promoted James McInnes to head its defined benefit and contribution business, Total Retirement Solutions.
McInnes will succeed George Castineiras, who will head a new organization created by Prudential, Gibraltar Ventures, which will be based in Hartford, a spokeswoman said Tuesday.
Gibraltar will develop and invest in new retirement and financial products, Prudential said.
McInnes has been a senior vice president on the TRS leadership team since 2009, based out of Prudential’s home state of New Jersey, where he will remain in his new role, the company said.Â
