Wallingford manufacturer Proton OnSite said it has launched its largest hydrogen generator yet, which it said opens up new sales opportunities.
Proton’s megawatt-scale proton exchange membrane electrolyzer is houses in a shipping container and aimed at large-scale energy storage and hydrogen vehicle fueling stations.
The two-megawatt version of the new product can fuel at least 200 cars a day, the company said.
Proton OnSite also sells smaller hydrogen generators for laboratories, materials processing, semiconductor manufacturing and other purposes, as well as nitrogen and purified air equipment.
