Farmington-based ProHealth Physicians – the largest physician-owned medical practice in Connecticut – has received the highest level of recognition for its patient-centered medical home model by the National Committee for Quality Assurance Physician Practice Connections.
This recognition program was developed to help medical offices support high-quality care. ProHealth Physicians was awarded Level 3 recognition, the highest level in the rankings.
ProHealth first became aware of the rankings in 2007 and has spent the last two years implementing clinical systems and technology, training providers and staff, and opening extended-hours centers to improve care and access.
The organization formed in 1998 and includes more than 270 physicians with a variety of specialties.
