Progressive Insurance has signed a 26,600-square-foot lease at 30 Batterson Park Road in Farmington, according to CoStar.
Progressive, one of the largest auto insurers in the United States, is headquartered in Ohio and operates across the country.
Brokers John McCormick and Mike Puzzo of CBRE represented the property owner, Michael Fish of Avon, in the lease deal. Sean O’Neill at JLL represented the tenant.
McCormick said Progressive relocated its office at 40 Commerce Court in Newington to lease the entire second floor of the Farmington office building.
The deal represents roughly one-third of the building’s 85,000 square feet, according to CoStar.
The Farmington Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled next week to review an application for new exterior Progressive signage at the building. Plans call for illuminated channel-letter signage mounted on the façade facing Batterson Park Road, according to application materials.
The office building is part of a cluster of insurance and financial services firms along Batterson Park Road.
A spokesperson for Progressive did not respond to a request for comment.
