By 2020, nursing levels will be 57 percent below the number necessary to meet the state’s health care needs, according to the Connecticut League for Nursing.
But nursing is just one of the many careers in the allied health field that is in demand. There’s a booming market for medical assistants and office staff knowledgeable in the complexities of medical coding and billing practices.
