Professional services firm names new principal 

CLA, a professional services firm with offices around the country, has named Sarah Watson to the position of principal.

Watson, a certified public accountant, works in the company’s Shelton office. 

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) provides wealth advisory, outsourcing, audit, tax, and consulting services. 

Joseph Kask, CLA’s managing principal for New England, said Watson has served on the firm’s tax team for many years, with more than 10 years of experience in public accounting, performing tax compliance and planning services for privately held businesses and their owners.

Watson, a Watertown resident,  provides advisory and compliance services to clients in a variety of industries, including real estate, professional service firms, and private equity, Kask said. Her areas of focus include taxation of high net worth individuals and pass-through entities such as partnerships, limited liability companies, and S corporations.

Steven Tuch joins Rallybio to lead corporate development

Rallybio LLC, a New Haven-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, has hired Steven Tuch to lead its corporate development function.

Tuch is responsible for the company’s financing and capital allocation strategies. He will also  partner with its business development team to review and assess opportunities for transformative corporate deals, partnerships and acquisitions.

Steve Uden, Rallybio’s co-founder and chief operating officer, said Tuch’s track record and experience advising healthcare and biopharmaceutical companies on their financial strategies will play a “crucial role” in Rallybio’s future growth.

Tuch has more than 30 years of experience in finance, and he most recently served as managing director and head of U.S. Equity Capital Markets Originations for BMO Capital Markets.
