Meriden’s Hills Distribution has invested in Bender Plumbing Supply, a distributor headquartered in New Haven.
Hills Distribution, a private-equity backed distributor of plumbing and HVAC equipment and supplies, has invested in Bender Plumbing Supply, a distributor headquartered in New Haven.
Hills Distribution was formed in 2024 by Grove Mountain Partners, a private equity firm specializing in investments in home and business service companies, when it acquired a majority stake in Plimpton and Hills, a Meriden-based wholesale distributor.
Hills Distribution was intended as a parent company for wholesale plumbing and HVAC distribution investments in the Northeast. The partnership with Bender Plumbing Supply marks its fifth acquisition in the region.
Founded in 1946, Bender Plumbing Supply is a fourth-generation, family-owned business. The company operates six locations in Connecticut.
The company has announced that Max Bender will continue in his role as president, alongside the rest of the existing executive team.
Hills Distribution says it continues to seek partnerships with other plumbing and HVAC distributors across the Northeast.
