The principals of a Waterbury-based restaurant-supply company have purchased a two-story retail building in Orange for $1.81 million, according to town land records.
Apple Tree Realty LLC acquired the 12,800-square-foot property at 304 Boston Post Road. The LLC is controlled by David Silverman of Cheshire; Jason Silverman of West Hartford; Roy Silverman of Florida; Amy Silverman of New York; and Molly Silverman of California.
Roy Silverman owns Restaurant City Equipment Superstore, while Jason Silverman manages operations and David Silverman serves as president, according to business listings and professional profiles. Amy Silverman is the company’s buying director.
Restaurant City traces its roots to Warehouse Restaurant Supply, founded in Waterbury in 1920. The company operates its main Waterbury location along with multiple Restaurant City Equipment Superstores in New Jersey, Rhode Island and Florida.
The seller was Three Hundred Four Boston Post Road LLC, controlled by Bret, Matthew and Timothy Lagasse of Madison. The property last sold for $1 million in 2018.
The building sits on 1.28 acres and was constructed in 1950. It was appraised at $1.42 million and assessed at $992,000 in 2024, according to property records.
The space was previously occupied by Taylor Rental Party Plus, which relocated to Branford and rebranded as Twin Coves Tent & Party Rentals. Will Braun of O,R&L Commercial represented the seller. Ken Ginsberg of KNG Realty LLC represented the buyer.
