Prime IV Hydration opening first Connecticut location

A national IV therapy franchise will soon debut its first spa location in Connecticut.

Meredith Pearse, a Simsbury health and wellness professional, will operate the state’s first Prime IV Hydration and Wellness location in the Farmington Valley area.

She said she is currently shopping around for a lease location, and expects to be open and operational by spring 2024.

IV therapy treatment involves the administration of nutrients and hydration directly into the bloodstream for immediate absorption since it bypasses the digestive system and goes directly into the organs.

It’s a fast-growing industry, and Connecticut already has nearly two dozen IV therapy locations. IV therapy can be used to address joint and muscle pain, headaches, allergies, dry skin, fatigue and more.

IV therapy is “amongst the highest-performing segments of the health and wellness industry today,” Pearse said. Prime IV now has nearly 100 locations nationwide.

In addition to Pearse as owner, the new Connecticut location will have roughly 3 to 5 new jobs, including nurses who will administer the IV therapy treatments.

Pearse said she intends to introduce additional Prime IV locations to the market once the first is open.

Prime IV was founded in 2017 by Amy Neary, a wellness industry veteran. Prime IV formulates IV vitamin therapies that help maximize the overall health and wellness of its members.

Pearse has an occupational therapy degree and has spent the last five years working for a family-owned health and fitness center as a personal success coach and the director of virtual operations.
