Norwalk online travel services provider Priceline.com promoted Michael Diliberto to chief information officer for North America, effective Wednesday.
Diliberto, 44, reports to Chris Soder, priceline.com’s president for North American Travel.
Diliberto succeeds Ron Rose, 58, who is joining Dell as senior vice president. Â Rose has served as priceline.com’s chief information officer since joining the company from Standard & Poor’s in 1999.
One of its longest-tenured workers, Diliberto previously was priceline.com’s chief software architect.
He joined priceline.com in 1998 as senior vice president for information technology, and was promoted to chief software architect in 1999. Before priceline.com, he held several senior information technology positions at Prodigy Services Co., and was vice president of content engineering of news internet services at News Corp.
