Priceline names new CEO

Priceline, a Norwalk-based online provider of discounted deals for travel and leisure, has appointed a new CEO, effective Jan. 1.

Parent company Booking Holdings has named Brigit Zimmerman to the top post, replacing Brett Keller, who is retiring after 16 years as CEO and 26 years with the company. He will continue to serve as special advisor to Zimmerman until May 1.

Zimmerman joined Priceline in 2013 as senior vice president of flight and packages, and was later promoted to senior vice president of hotel, flights and packages, before being appointed as chief commercial officer in 2022.

Before joining Priceline, Zimmerman held a leadership role at United Airlines and earned an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Zimmerman’s appointment to CEO comes a year after Booking Holdings announced cutting its workforce in the face of rising operating costs. The Norwalk-based company also owns Booking.com, Kayak and Open Table.
