The Producer Price Index increased 1.1 percent in March after a 0.3 percent increase in February, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
The PPI increased by 1 percent in January. Prices charged to producers for goods received at the earliest point in production rose 2.3 percent in March after increasing 0.8 percent a month earlier and the crude goods index advanced 8.0 percent following a 3.7 percent increase in February.
