JoAnn Price, co-founder and managing partner of West Hartford-based Fairview Capital Partners has been named Woman of the Year by Hartford nonprofit The Village for Families & Children.
Price was selected for the award for her advocacy of at-risk girls and women, motivating and inspiring young women to realize their potential, and having a transformative effect on the lives of young women. Fairview Capital is a private equity, investment-management firm.
Integrity Graphics President Receives Easter Seals Award
Easter Seals Capital Region & Eastern Connecticut awarded Joseph E. LaValla, president of Windsor-based Integrity Graphics Inc., the Corporate Citizenship Award at its recent annual meeting and donor appreciation reception in West Hartford.
LaValla was selected for committing resources, time, and talents to the needs of the community and to the needs of those less fortunate and supporting Easter Seals’ mission of promoting the independence and self-sufficiency of individuals with disabilities.
Mickey Finn’s Named 2014 Retailer of the Year
The Connecticut Retail Merchants Association has named Berlin clothing-footwear retailer Mickey Finn’s its 2014 Retailer of the Year.
The award is given annually by the CRMA to a retailer that demonstrates the highest level of integrity and success in marketing, customer service, employee relations and community service.
Day Pitney lawyers Named to National “Best Law Firms” Rankings
A total of 53 Day Pitney practice areas across departments and offices were given a “First-Tier Metropolitan” ranking by U.S. News and World Report in its “Best Law Firms” listing for 2015. In the Hartford office, 17 practice areas were recognized with a top ranking.
Three groups were honored in New Haven and six groups were honored in Stamford. For the second year in a row, Day Pitney received a Tier 1 ranking nationally and within the Hartford, New Haven and Stamford metropolitan areas in the trusts and estates category.
