The surface division of Danbury industrial gas provider Praxair, Inc. on Tuesday announced its new 10-year agreement to supply coating for major airframe components made in China.
Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc. will provide thermal spray coating services for Messier-Bugatti-Dowty for its airframe production line in China. The spray coasting replaces chrome plating on those components.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Production of the airframe will start in 2013.
Messier-Bugatti-Dowty is a subsidiary of French aerospace manufacturer Safran Group. Praxair will produce its coating surface technologies through its facilities in France, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
