Praxair Inc. in Danbury agreed to build an air separation plant in Ontario, Canada, to supply oxygen to an expanding steel mill there.
Praxair Canada Inc. will design and build a cryogenic air separation plant to supply 900 tons daily gaseous oxygen to Essar Steel Algoma Inc.’s steel mill in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
The new plant is scheduled to start up by early 2011 and will be fully integrated with Praxair’s existing air separation facilities at Essar in Sault St. Marie.
