Danbury industrial gas supplier Praxair, Inc. will raise the prices on its products between 12-18 percent to support its customer growth.
Starting June 1 or as its contracts permit, Praxair will raise the prices of nitrogen and oxygen 12 percent, argon and hydrogen 18 percent, hard goods 15 percent, and facility fees and cylinder rental rates 15 percent.
In addition to funding investment in production and distribution equipment to support customer growth, the extra money will mitigate supply/demand imbalances and offset rising production costs.
The company also is adjusting its helium and carbon dioxide prices on an individual basis.
