Danbury industrial gas supplier Praxair, Inc. signed a 15-year contract to supply oxygen to a new pulp mill in Uruguay.
The Danbury company’s Praxair Uruguay subsidiary will build, own and operate a plant to produce up to 126 tons of oxygen per day. The plant will open in early 2013.
This is Praxair’s second plant in Uruguay.
Praxair boasts that it is the largest industrial gases company in North and South America, with plants such as the Uruguay one all over the globe. Its 2010 sales topped $10 billion.
