A third independent Houston area welding-gas supplier has landed in the lap of Danbury industrial gas supplier Praxair Inc.
Praxair Distribution Inc. says it paid an undisclosed sum for two-year-old Welders Industrial Supply LLC of Pasadena, Texas, a Houston suburb.
Welders Industrial runs a newly built retail and cylinder filling plant in Pasadena, with about $4 million in annual revenue and 10 employees, Praxair says.
Just before Christmas, Praxair bought Texas Welders Supply Co. in Houston. That followed its October buyout of Houston welding gas supplier National Alloy and Equipment Inc.

Houston is the nation’s fifth-largest welding gas markets, primarily for construction and repair of on- and offshore drilling rigs.
