German airline Lufthansa wants Pratt & Whitney Co.’s geared turbofan to power its initial fleet of 30 Airbus 320neo jetliners, Pratt said Monday.
Price tag for the 60 PurePower PW1100G engines was not disclosed.
Last Thursday, the East Hartford jet engine maker snagged an order worth several billion for 300 of its next-generation geared turbofan engines from Indian budget airline IndiGo.
Pratt is a division of United Technologies Corp. in Hartford.
