The U.S. Air Force has awarded a $231.5 million contract extension to East Hartford aerospace manufacturer Pratt & Whitney, according to a joint announcement from Connecticut politicians.
The deal to maintain and repair F119 engines extends an existing contract through 2014, according to Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Sen. Chris Murphy and Rep. John Larson.
