The Advanced Turbine Engine Co., a joint venture of Honeywell International and East Hartford-based Pratt & Whitney, was awarded a $108 million contract from the U.S. Army for a turbine engine technology demonstrator program.
The program will validate technologies needed to achieve performance goals of a turboshaft engine which will replace the T700 engine now in Black Hawk and Apache helicopters.
