Pratt & Whitney announced it will maintain engines on a fleet of up to 200 jets for SkyWest Airlines in Utah and ExpressJet Airlines in Georgia.
Both airlines are owned by SkyWest Inc., which served the North American market and has approximately 4,100 daily departures, with a fleet of 758 regional aircraft.
The 16-year agreement calls for Pratt — a division of Hartford’s United Technologies Corp. — to support PurePower engines in 100 MRJ90 Mitsubishi Regional Jets and an option for up to 100 more, the company said.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
