East Hartford manufacturer Pratt & Whitney has donated a seven-ton Boeing 777 test engine to the Connecticut Aero Technical School. The company’s PW4098 commercial engine – the largest gas turbine engine ever built – will help Aero Tech students apply their electronics, electrical, hydraulics and mechanics training to real-world aviation and aerospace design, construction and maintenance challenges.
