The U.S. Air Force has awarded Pratt & Whitney’s Military Aftermarket Services division in San Antonio a $14.1 million contract to overhaul fighter engines, the San Antonio Business Journal reports.
Under the terms of the contract, Pratt employees at Port San Antonio will overhaul the Air Force’s F100-229 engines that power F-15 and F-16 fighter aircraft.
Pratt & Whitney is a unit of United Technologies Corp. in Hartford.
