Aircraft engine makers Pratt & Whitney Co. of East Hartford and Great Britain’s Rolls Royce have put on hold plans to build factories in Singapore because of the uncertain global economic outlook, according to a published report today.
Their projects, originally scheduled for completion this year, have been deferred for at least a year, the English-language newspaper Straits Times quoted the Economic Development Board, Singapore’s investment agency, as saying.
