East Hartford aerospace manufacturer Pratt & Whitney said its chief operating officer will become president in January.
Paul R. Adams, currently the company’s chief operating officer, will succeed David P. Hess, who is retiring after 34 years with the company.
Adams, 52, joined Pratt parent United Technologies Corp. in 1999. Since then, he has been senior vice president of operations and engineering and COO.
