East Hartford aerospace engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney said it has signed deals to provide its PurePower engines to two companies making planes for several airlines.
Pratt will provide engines to Embraer, which is building 50 planes for Trans States Holdings, parent of Trans States Airlines, GoJet Airlines and Compass Airlines. Deliveries are scheduled to start in 2020, according to Pratt.
The company will also provide engines to Mitsubishi Regional Jets, which is building six jets for Air Mandalay. Deliveries will start in 2018.
Pratt did not disclose financial terms of the deals.
The company is expected to make announcements throughout the week at the Farnborough International Airshow in England.
