PPP maker Bio-Med Devices expands in Guilford

Bio-Med Devices Inc. has leased a 6,500-square-foot unit with truck docks at 1 Shoreline Drive, Guilford. The building is a 72,000-square-foot multi-tenanted flex building owned by Russo Real Estate.

Headed by company President Dean Bennett, Bio-Med Devices manufactures personal protective equipment (PPP) and ventilators at its primary headquarters and manufacturing facilities two blocks from the new Shoreline Drive property, on Soundview Road. The company employs some 80 workers.

Kevin Geenty of the Geenty Group, Realtors in Branford represented Bio-Med Devices in the transaction, while the landlord was represented by Bill Clark, also of Geenty.

The former Lucian’s Greenhouse at 2468 Whitney Avenue, Hamden has been sold for $235,000. The property is a two-story, 2,275-square-foot commercial building on 0.25 acres in the center of Hamden’s CBD. Stephen Press, SIOR of Press/Cuozzo Commercial Services represented the seller, the estate of Lucian Addario. The buyer, Ralph Mauriello, was represented by Tracie Sires, also of Press/Cuozzo. The transaction closed June 1.Â
