An Eversource helicopter will be traversing many parts of the state over the next week inspecting high-voltage lines, the utility company said.
The inspections, which are done biannually with infrared scanning equipment, are meant to detect potential problems with grid infrastructure. Eversource’s blue and silver helicopter will hover over lines in 98 communities, covering every corner of the state, including Hartford.
The inspections began Wednesday and will end July 26.
