Post University names new chief financial officer

Post University in Waterbury recently appointed Dan Streek to serve as its chief financial officer. 

Streek replaces Scott Allen, who was promoted to senior vice president of administrative services.

Streek is both a certified public accountant and certified management accountant, and he served as president and CFO for an advertising agency prior to joining Post.

Since 1999, Allen has served in various roles within Post’s accounting and finance office. In his new role, Allen will be focusing on administrative services, athletics, campus life, and special projects, and will serve as a liaison with city agencies and the community.

Liberty Bank hires new EVP, information officer

Hope Utterbeck has joined Liberty Bank as its new executive vice president and chief information officer.

Utterbeck comes to Liberty from Webster Bank, where she held the position of senior vice president and director, business applications since 2018. During her career, she has had leadership roles with companies such as General Electric, and its financial services division, GE Capital.

She is based at Liberty Bank’s corporate headquarters in Middletown.

Retired judge, a New Haven resident, joins law firm

Retired Superior Court Judge Angela C. Robinson has joined the law firm Halloran Sage, where she serves as counsel in its alternative dispute resolution practice.

A city resident, Robinson is based in the firm’s New Haven office. She focuses her practice on mediating and arbitrating matters in areas including tort, personal injury, commercial disputes, contract disputes, and select housing and family law. She also provides pre-litigation interventions, including discovery dispute resolution assistance and independent investigations.

Robinson was a Superior Court judge for two decades. At the time of her retirement, she was the administrative judge for the Judicial District of New Haven.
