A 4,200-square-foot retail store that sells apparel geared toward women athletes has opened at Mohegan Sun.
Athleta, owned by Gap Inc., opened its new store in the Shops at Mohegan Sun on Tuesday. Real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield arranged the lease agreement.
The popular women’s activewear brand is located down the escalators from Sky Tower hotel lobby and near Dale Chihuly’s “River Blue” sculpture.
The 130,000-square-foot Shops at Mohegan Sun is home to about 30 stores including Coach, Tommy Bahama, Yankee Candle, Sephora, Rove Outfitters and Lids.
Mohegan Sun features two casinos, more than 70 shops and restaurants, meeting facilities including Earth Expo & Convention Center, the Mohegan Sun FanDuel Sportsbook, three entertainment venues with a seating capacity of up to 10,000 and two luxury hotel towers with a total of 1,600 rooms.
Athleta at Mohegan Sun is open from 10:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
