New Britain will soon get another Popeyes restaurant – the city’s second Popeyes location – at Brittany West Plaza on Hartford Road, which is near the intersection with Route 9.
Newington-based Reno Properties Group secured the location for Popeyes.
Popeyes’ other New Britain location is at 527 West Main St., which is near the Plainville side of the city.
The national fast-food chain’s new restaurant on Hartford Road will feature a drive-thru and is expected to open for business early this year.
According to Reno Properties Group, the new location – near Central Connecticut State University – will attract customers from West Hartford and Newington.
The plaza’s roster of tenants also includes a future Nova Farms dispensary, along with Seoul Korean BBQ, Goodwill, Monro Muffler and Arthur Murray Ballroom & Dance Center.
