The newest Connecticut location for fast-dining chain Pokéworks debuts Sept. 21 in West Hartford’s Corbin Collection shopping center, operators say.
West Hartford restaurant partners Sonny Chen and Max Condren, owners of Black Bamboo restaurant in town, say they will offer Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls and burritos in about 1,000 square feet of the former Sears department store space at 1445 New Britain Ave., across from Westfarms mall.
Sporting-goods retailer REI, fashion chain Saks Off Fifth and retailer Buybuy Baby also occupy the space. Seritage Growth Properties is landlord.
Pokeworks was founded in New York City in 2015, and has more than 40 locations in nine states, including two in Wilton and Westport, Conn., and a third planned for Greenwich.
The chain says it plans to open more than 100 locations by the end of 2020.
