🔒Plainfield hotel sells for $4.9M

A Plainfield property hosting a 66-room LaQuinta Inn & Suites recently sold for $4.9 million. In a deed recorded July 30, the 22-year-old, 34,830-square-foot hotel building on 2.5 acres at 18 Pratt Road in Plainfield sold to a North Smithfield, Rhode Island-based limited liability company. The buyer’s principals, including Pratiksinh Desai, Ishvarsinh Desai and Avani Pandya, all list a hotel in North Smithfield as their primary residences in a filing with the Connecticut Secretary of the State’s office. The property was sold by Vernon-based WAU Hospitality LLC, whose principals include Nadeem A. Chaudhry, of Yonkers, New York; Khurram Shehzad, of New Rochelle, New York: and Imtiaz Chaudhry, of Ellington. WAU Hospitality paid $4.5 million for the Plainfield hotel property in 2023, according to assessor records.
