Brookfield semiconductor equipment maker Photronics said it is developing a product with Silicon Values BG Partners.
The deal includes an investment from the early-stage venture fund, but the company did not disclose the amount.
Photronics will work with partners in Texas to adapt its glass structuring platform for use in thermal energy capture and processing applications.
“While we remain intensely focused on our core businesses, successful demonstration here would be a significant step forward in addressing industry needs for large-area, low-cost thermal processing solutions,” Christopher Progler, CTO of Photronics, said in a statement.
