The Phoenix Cos. President/CEO James D. Wehr has been named chair of The Greater Hartford Arts Council’s 2015 United Arts Campaign and its $2.6 million fundraising goal.
Wehr will lead a “campaign cabinet’’ of Hartford region community and business leaders to persuade corporations and individuals to financially supporting more than 150 local arts and heritage organizations, the council said Thursday.
“Phoenix has a long history of supporting the arts in the region, and our United Arts Campaign is an opportunity to raise employee awareness about local arts organizations along with raising money,” Wehr said in a statement. “I am looking forward to a successful 2015 campaign.”
The campaign runs from February to June.
