Hartford financial and insurance provider The Phoenix Cos. said it has promoted Jody A. Beresin to executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Beresin has been with Phoenix since 1994, when she was director of corporate communications, and was promoted several times, most recently to senior vice president in 2012.
In her new role, she is responsible for human resources, corporate communications, corporate services and information technology.
Beresin fills the role vacated in late 2012 by Bonnie J. Malley, when Malley was promoted to chief financial officer. Beresin was promoted at the same time, assuming Malley’s administrative duties, except for IT.
With the new title, Beresin has also assumed responsibilities for IT, Phoenix said.
