Hartford’s Phoenix Life Insurance Co. made money again in the third quarter.
The main unit of The Phoenix Cos. Inc. booked $4.4 million in the three months ended Sept. 30, after paying a $29.2 million dividend to its financially embattled parent.
Meantime, Wall Street still awaits The Phoenix’s restatement of quarterly financials going back several years.
President and CEO James D. Wehr said the insurer is focused on fundamentals and growing its businesses while it works to complete its financial restatement.
