Hartford annuities provider and life insurer the Phoenix Cos. said it’s in the final phases of restating its financials, a process that began with an announced delay of its third-quarter financials last year.
Phoenix has said it doesn’t expect to file this year’s third-quarter earnings report with federal financial regulators on time, but the company does expect to provide by Nov. 15 unaudited financial results and estimated operating metrics for that quarter.
Phoenix is also working to restate generally accepted accounting principles-based (GAAP) financial statements for 2011, 2010, 2009, and the first two quarters of 2012.
The company reported late last month that the New York Stock Exchange had granted it an extension that would allow it to continue listing its shares on the exchange until at least Jan. 31.
