An inclusive culture comprised of diverse individuals helps Pfizer achieve its business goals. We recognize that we must fully leverage the diverse backgrounds, knowledge, insights, nationalities, opinions, and beliefs brought by all of our colleagues and business partners. Together, we must create more value for the enterprise and our stakeholders. Diverse perspectives enable innovation.
At Pfizer, we have a Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Worldwide Leadership Council, comprised of nearly two dozen senior leaders at Pfizer who serve as a “board of directors” for D&I. We also have a D&I Community of Practice, dedicated D&I professionals who are responsible for creating and executing strategies in partnership with line leaders as well as divisional D&I councils and nearly 40 Colleague Resource Groups around the globe. In 2009, we developed a 21st century approach for D&I at Pfizer, one that carries the momentum beyond colleagues to our customers, communities and suppliers. All of these formal structures are important, but ultimately everyone at Pfizer plays a critical role in creating a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture.
