Peter Pan expands bookings via Wanderu

Springfield’s Peter Pan Bus Lines and ground-travel search engine Wanderu have partnered to expand Peter Pan’s online passenger bookings to and from more locations across Connecticut and four more Northeast states.

As of today, Wanderu users can book Peter Pan bus tickets to more than 60 locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, officials said Monday.

“We know people have a lot of transportation options these days,´ said Peter Pan Chairman/CEO Peter Picknelly. “We anticipate that some new customers will learn about Peter Pan’s services through Wanderu and discover the advantages of traveling on a Peter Pan bus.”

Previously, Wanderu offered tickets on a limited number of Peter Pan routes that were part of the carrier’s Express service provided in collaboration with Greyhound, another Wanderu partner, officials said. Massachusetts’ Cape Cod, the Berkshires and the town of Amherst are now on the Wanderu-Peter Pan destination list.

Wanderu and its other ground-travel partners, including Amtrak, Megabus, Boltbus, Grupo Senda and Trailways of New York, serve more than 90 percent of the U.S., plus major locations in Canada, Wanderu CEO and co-founder Polina Raygorodskaya said.

“Peter Pan travels daily to and from locations that no other carrier serves which allows us to provide our users with many new opportunities to explore the country,” Raygorodskaya said.

All of Peter Pan’s buses are equipped with climate controlled air conditioning and heat, an on-board restroom, reclining seats with headrests, and tinted windows. In addition, all of the carrier’s buses provide complimentary Wi-Fi and electrical outlets, allowing travelers to stay connected throughout their journey.
