Pet shop, tattoo parlor among recent commercial leases

Five businesses recently leased space in the region, including a pet store, tattoo shop, upholsterer, horticultural business and print shop. 

Michael Richetelli, president and designated broker of Colonial Properties, Inc. of Orange, which was involved in the five transactions, said his company is seeing more transactions lately.

“The volume of commercial leasing transactions we are conducting is very encouraging, considering we are still emerging from the pandemic, and state of Connecticut-ordered restrictions on businesses are still in place,” Richetelli said in an announcement.

Financial terms of the leases were not disclosed. They included:

A to Z PetShop LLC leased about 4,200 square feet of retail space at 41 Monroe Turnpike, Trumbull for a five year term. Fred A. Messore, senior vice president with Colonial, represented the tenant. Jason Wuchiski of True Commercial Real Estate LLC represented the landlord, 41 Monroe Turnpike LLC.

Empire Tattoo leased approximately 1,250 square feet of retail space at 521-547 Boston Post Road, Orange for three years. Messore also represented the tenant in this transaction. Mark Glassman of Arnold Peck’s Commercial World represented the landlord, Elm Street Partners LLC.

SLM Services, doing business as Northeast Horticultural Services, has leased 1,500 square feet of office space, a 5,000-square-foot warehouse, and a 7,500-square-foot fenced-in yard at 252 Depot Road, Milford for two years. Tony Vitti, a realtor with Colonial Properties, represented the landlord, MNBD LLC. Bruce Wettenstein of Vidal/Wettenstein represented the tenant. 

Fabric and Upholstery Depot LLC has leased 5,700 square feet of retail space at 392 Boston Post Road, Orange for five years. Vitti represented the landlord, Scarcella Realty. Michael Debiase of Higgins Group Real Estate represented the tenant.

Sebastian Uribe, who operates a print shop and vinyl car wrapping business, has leased about 1,600 square feet of recently remodeled warehouse and office space at 199 Terminal Lane, New Haven for five years. Kosta Eliopoulos of Colonial represented the landlord, Ruotolo Realty, in that transaction.
