One of Connecticut’s most visible personal-injury law firms has hung a shingle in a new market: New Haven.
Trantolo & Trantolo unveiled a new office last Thursday at 816 Woodward Ave. on the East Shore, adding the City of Elms to offices in Hartford (where the law firm is headquartered) as well as branch offices in Bridgeport, Waterbury and Torrington.
The firm traces its roots to 1938, when Joseph Trantolo Sr. and two partners founded a law firm in Hartford. Today his namesake firm is headed by his son, Vincent Trantolo, and grandsons Keith and Scott Trantolo.
The firm primarily represents plaintiffs in personal-injury cases including motor-vehicle, medical-malpractice, nursing-home negligence and product-liability claims. It also represents clients in mass tort and class-action cases.
The firm has built a statewide practice in part through aggressive marketing and advertising, including cable TV and billboard advertising.
“We are so proud and excited to call New Haven home,” said Keith V. Trantolo, the firm’s managing partner, at the press announcement Thursday. “Our firm is honored to have the opportunity to help and support the families of the New Haven community.”
“We’re proud to welcome Trantolo & Trantolo to New Haven and look forward to working with them to help continue the city’s hard work in making New Haven a great community in which to live, work and play,” said city Deputy Economic Development Director Steve Fontana. “Today’s celebration is yet another example that New Haven is open for business,” he added.
