Pequots to mark CT gaming pact

State and congressional dignitaries are scheduled Wednesday to join the Mashantucket Pequots to commemorate the 17th anniversary of the tribe’s agreement to share its gaming revenue, which has contributed $3 billion to state coffers.

Tribal Council Chairman Rodney Butler will lead the noon ceremony at the Mashantucket Museum and Research Center. He is expected to be joined by state Comptroller Nancy Wyman and representatives of Sen. Joseph Lieberman and Congressman Joe Courtney.

The Mashantucket Pequots operate Foxwoods Resort and Casino.
