People’s United’s Osella joins Team Berkshire

Berkshire Bank has hired veteran Connecticut banker David Osella to spearhead the Pittsfield, Mass., lender’s commercial-banking prospects in this state.

Osella was named senior vice president-relationship manager, based in the Berkshire Bank-CBT Region headquarters at 58 State House Square in downtown Hartford.

He reports to Sheryl McQuade, senior vice president and Berkshire’s Connecticut commercial regional leader, who said Osella was recruited for his knowledge of the local banking market and strong customer-service background.

A West Hartford resident, Osella has 30 years of banking experience and previously was a senior vice president and commercial-loan officer at People’s United Bank, where he spent the last 22 years.
