Bridgeport lender People’s United Financial said it has appointed William F. Cruger Jr. to a new 12th seat on its board of directors.
Cruger was vice chairman of investment banking at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. until Aug. 2013. He began his career at J.P. Morgan in 1982.
He is also a board member of trading network and market data provider MarketAxess Holdings Inc., based in New York.
People’s United is the holding company for People’s United Bank, which has a Hartford-area branch network.
