Bridgeport regional lender People’s United Financial Inc. has tapped one of its veteran bankers, Vincent Santilli, to run its $46 million-asset community chest.
Santilli takes over July 1 as executive director of People’s United Community Foundation. He succeeds Hank Mandel, who is retiring.
Santilli is a 27-year People’s United Bank veteran, who will remain in its retail and business banking division. Â
Santilli is a member of the Kennedy Center board of directors and the economics and finance advisory board for Sacred Heart University’s John F. Welch College of Business. He also coaches Special Olympics soccer and serves as a head basketball coach in the Cardinal Shehan Center Developmental Basketball League. Santilli is active with the Knights of Columbus.
He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and public policy from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in business administration from Sacred Heart.
