West Shore Home, a Pennsylvania-based home remodeling company, has expanded into Hartford, where it plans to hire between 60 and 100 employees.
The company began leasing office space at 75 Brainard Road on May 6 and has hired 28 employees so far, according to information provided by the company. It is continuing to hire for design, installation, plumbing and management positions.
The Hartford location is West Shore Home’s third in New England, following two Greater Boston-area launches earlier this year. The company provides residential remodeling services, including bathroom renovations and window, door and flooring replacements. It uses 3D scanning technology during consultations to create digital models of customers’ spaces and provide project pricing, while its own employees handle installations rather than subcontractors.
West Shore Home said its expansion comes as the Hartford region’s aging housing stock and tight inventory have increased demand for home renovations. About 72% of the region’s homes were built before 1970, according to the company.
Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, West Shore Home employs more than 3,000 people and operates in more than 40 locations across 27 states.
