A Pennsylvania-based investor in dozens of car dealership properties nationwide has bought two Land Rover locations in Darien for $18.5 million from the Frank A. Miller Foundation Inc. of Greenwich, according to the town’s office of the tax collector.
Legacy Automotive Capital, based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, has acquired a 35,680-square-foot, two-story building, at 1335 Boston Post Road, for $11.6 million, and a 19,531-square-foot, two-story building, at 90 Boston Post Road, for $6.9 million. The larger building sits on 3.37 acres, while the smaller one occupies 1.88 acres.
Land Rover has agreed to lease both locations through 2037, according to a flyer from Cushman & Wakefield.
Legacy Automotive Capital LLC (Legacy) is a real estate investment company and purchased these properties subject to the existing Occupant’s long-term lease,” T.J. Doyle, president of Legacy Automotive Capital, said in an email. “Legacy has no plans for the properties, other than to own them as investments.”
1335 Boston Post Road is appraised at $16.8 million and assessed at $11.8 million, property records state. 90 Boston Post Road is appraised at $6.02 million and assessed at $4.22 million.
