Longtime UConn executive and fundraiser Paul Pendergast has joined Back9Network as chief development officer.
Pendergast most recently served as the university’s director of institutional advancement. He also served as interim athletic director at UConn, president of the St. Francis Foundation and senior vice president of development for St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.
Pendergast is active with many community nonprofit boards and committees in the Greater Hartford area, including the Hartford Symphony Orchestra; The Mark Twain Museum; Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce; Ray of Hope Foundation; Northwest Catholic High School; Mandell Jewish Community Center; and the Travelers Championship.
Back9Network, which made its online debut in 2012, describes itself as “a sports lifestyle television and media network for golf fans who want to do more than follow the leaderboard.” Back9Network recently broke ground on its TV studio and video production facility in downtown Hartford. Back9Network plans to launch its TV programming lineup via cable and satellite in the first half of 2013.
